Abstract

In this research paper, the analysis of detention as a preventive measure in criminal proceedings is presented. Theoretical aspects identified in the scientific works of legal scholars and practitioners, as well as legislative norms and statistical data are considered. The problematic points are identified based on the practical application of legal norms, and ways to solve them and possible innovations in existing legislation are proposed.
