USING THE BOILER DESIGNER PROGRAM IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS FOR THERMAL-HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS OF BOILERS

Abstract

This article demonstrates the feasibility of using Boiler Designer software for thermal hydraulic calculations not only for conventional thermal power plant boilers but also for other fuel-burning systems. This further substantiates the feasibility of its use in the educational process for students majoring in thermal power engineering. An example of a thermal calculation for a boiler proposed by the authors for burning four types of municipal solid waste is provided. This boiler is a key element of a promising energy technology plant for Russia with a capacity of 180,000 tons of waste per year.
