ADVOCATE ETHICS AS A BASIS FOR ADVOCATE ACTIVITIES

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the ethics of advocacy as a fundamental principle of the professional activity of a lawyer. The authors consider the ethical norms that determine the quality of legal assistance and the trust in the institution of the bar. The paper analyzes the key principles of ethics enshrined in the Code of Professional Ethics of a Lawyer, including independence and the preservation of attorney-client confidentiality. Special attention is paid to the problems associated with the application and compliance with the norms of advocacy ethics.
