Abstract

The degree of development of motor functions significantly influences the development of other body systems. Thus, visual impairment in childhood leads to a decrease in the functions of internal organs that ensure individual biological development and adaptation to the social environment.

The Robinson index characterizes the systolic work of the heart, is an indicator of regulatory processes in the myocardium, and allows one to assess the reserve capabilities of hemodynamics, knowing that the lower it is in a state of physical rest, the higher its aerobic capabilities and, consequently, the higher the level of health and functional state of a person .

The study involved 139 girls aged 7 to 17 years, all were divided into three groups according to age: junior, middle and high school age. The main group included 79 girls with visual impairments and the control group included 60 peers with normal vision.

As a result of the study, we found that the functional reserve of the cardiovascular system in school-age girls, both with and without vision pathology, is reduced. This indicates the inadequacy of health programs and the lack of sports activities for this category of children.
