Abstract

The article is aimed at identifying the features of the witness's status in criminal proceedings, his safety during participation in a criminal case and responsibility. The author of the article describes issues related to ensuring witness immunity, the inadmissibility of the participation of one person in a criminal case in several procedural statuses, the use of protective measures when participating in investigative actions, as well as state security measures.
