PROBLEMS OF RECOGNITION AND ENFORCEMENT OF FOREIGN JUDGMENTS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

This study is aimed at analyzing problematic issues related to the recognition and execution of foreign court decisions in the Russian Federation. The authors determine the normative basis of this institution, characterize key acts of national legislation and international law. Particular emphasis is placed on considering specific problematic aspects that negatively affect the effectiveness of legal regulation of the recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions. Based on the results of the study, proposals are formulated for further areas of modernizing the legislation of the Russian Federation and strengthening international cooperation.
