STATE OF ONCOLOGICAL CARE FOR THE POPULATION OF THE BELGOROD REGION IN 2024
Abstract
This article examines the state of oncology care in the Belgorod Region in 2024. During the analyzed period, 17.4% of patients with stages I and II of the disease were actively identified. Urban residents predominate among the total number of patients registered. Breast cancer, skin cancer (excluding melanoma), uterine cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer account for 53.26% of the total incidence. The most commonly diagnosed cancers at stage I are skin cancer (excluding melanoma), thyroid cancer, and uterine cancer. Given the rising incidence of malignant neoplasms in the population, it is worth noting that primary prevention and screening for the most common types of malignant neoplasms can significantly improve the early detection and timely treatment of these diseases.
