PROBLEMS OF PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION OF THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS IN CUSTODY

Abstract

The article examines the activities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in overseeing the observance of the rights of persons detained in pre-trial detention centers, with a focus on the conditions of detention in pre-trial detention centers. The author analyzes the legal and regulatory framework for this oversight, as well as examples from prosecutorial practice. Based on this analysis, serious problems are identified that reduce the effectiveness of the oversight activities. It is emphasized that improving the work of the Prosecutor's Office in this area requires enhancing the psychological training of personnel, expanding the tools for feedback from prisoners, and strengthening interagency cooperation with civil society institutions.
