IMPROVEMENT OF CRIMINAL EXECUTIVE LEGISLATION AT THE PRESENT STAGE

Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the penal legislation of the Russian Federation. The main directions and trends of its reform in the context of the implementation of the Concept of the development of the penal system until 2030 are considered. Special attention is paid to the problems of humanization of the conditions of serving sentences, improvement of the mechanisms of social adaptation and resocialization of convicts, as well as the implementation of international standards of treatment of prisoners in the domestic legal system. The author identified key gaps and conflicts in the current legislation and proposed specific measures to optimize it, including the development of the probation system and the expansion of the use of alternative punishments to imprisonment.
