PROBLEMS OF COMBATING CORRUPTION IN THE PENAL SYSTEM

Abstract

The article deals with the problems of combating corruption in the penal system of the Russian Federation. The reasons for the spread of corruption offenses among the employees of the penitentiary system, the features of their manifestation and the impact on the effectiveness of the execution of punishments are considered. Special attention is paid to organizational, social and legal factors contributing to corruption, as well as measures to prevent it. The necessity of an integrated approach is substantiated, including improving interdepartmental interaction, improving the legal culture of staff and improving the social security of employees.
