PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE BODIES OF INQUIRY INVESTIGATING CRIMINAL CASES

The article examines the regulatory limits and practical mechanisms of prosecutorial supervision of the activities of the bodies of inquiry at the pre-trial stages of criminal proceedings. The relevance of the study is due to the continuing array of violations in the reception, registration and resolution of reports of crimes, consideration of complaints in accordance with Article 124 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation and compliance with reasonable investigation deadlines. The purpose of the work is to form a holistic approach to determining the subject of prosecutorial supervision in the field of inquiry and clarifying the tools for its implementation. The objectives of the study include the analysis of the legal structure of the prosecutor's powers, the identification of key risk areas in the activities of the bodies of inquiry and the justification of areas for improving oversight activities. The paper uses an analytical method, a systematic approach and a method of comparative analysis of law enforcement practice. The result of the study is a justification for the need to clarify the subject of supervision, coordinate supervisory and judicial control mechanisms, as well as develop the digital infrastructure of prosecutorial supervision.
