CLINICAL STUDY OF HEART DAMAGE IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS IN THE ELDERLY
Abstract
The most common consequences of diabetes are cardiovascular problems caused by aging and premature atherosclerosis, which is unique to diabetes. Thus, elderly patients with diabetes mellitus have a high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Coronary artery diseases, heart failure, and diabetic autonomic cardiomyopathy that cause arrhythmias are the most common types of cardiovascular diseases in this group of patients.
