Abstract

This article is devoted to the pressing issue of emotional burnout among employees working in a remote format — a phenomenon that became widespread after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of Russian empirical studies from 2019–2025 are summarized. Key causes of burnout, the characteristics of its manifestation in remote work conditions, and effective prevention strategies are analyzed. Special attention is given to the role of digital overload, social isolation, lack of recognition, and managerial support. It is concluded that comprehensive support for employees’ mental well-being is necessary in modern hybrid and remote work environments.
