THE HISTORICAL GENESIS AND PROBLEM OF EXISTENTIAL MOTIVATIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AS A SUBJECT OF RESEARCH IN PSYCHOLOGY
Abstract
This article presents a theoretical overview of the phenomenon of existential motivation of the individual. It analyzes the historical genesis of the concept of “existential motivation,” approaches to interpreting the concept of “existential motivation” in research literature, and reveals the substantive side of the phenomenon.
Based on an analysis of Russian and international sources, it is concluded that existential motivation of the individual remains a relevant but complex subject of research in contemporary psychology, requiring further study, and the problems of this phenomenon are highlighted.
