ETHICAL AND LEGAL ISSUES OF APPLYING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN HEALTHCARE
Abstract
The development of artificial intelligence in medicine is demonstrating impressive progress. These advances have not only paved the way for cutting-edge technologies in diagnostics, surgery, and rehabilitation, but have also created complex legal challenges. This underscores the urgent need for clear liability standards, enhanced data protection measures, and rigorous industry regulation to address the complex challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in medicine. With the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence in healthcare, the associated ethical issues are becoming increasingly pressing, disrupting the workflow of professionals and seriously impacting patient protection and the functioning of the healthcare system. Artificial intelligence is demonstrating its potential to transform healthcare by improving diagnostics, increasing treatment efficiency, and streamlining administrative processes. Several countries are working to implement artificial intelligence in healthcare within the context of global regulation. Harmonizing regulatory frameworks at the international level will help address cross-border issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare services.
