THE PARTICIPATION OF THE DEFENDER IN THE PRE-TRIAL STAGES OF CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

Abstract

This article examines the legal basis and procedural aspects of the participation of a defense attorney at the pre-trial stages of criminal proceedings. The author examines the main stages and forms of the defender's participation in the pre-trial stages, analyzes the problems that lawyers face in the process of exercising their powers, and suggests possible solutions. This article also focuses on the role of the defender in the implementation of mechanisms for protecting the rights of the client and interaction with investigative authorities.
