PROSECUTOR'S SUPERVISION OF INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS

Abstract

The article examines the prosecutor's supervision of investigative actions as a central element of the mechanism for ensuring legality in the criminal process. The goals and objectives of supervisory activities, key objects of control and powers of the prosecutor are determined, their role in protecting the rights of participants in legal proceedings and building a reliable evidence base is revealed. The central place in the work is occupied by the analysis of problems and topical issues of the implementation of the supervisory function. Among them are ensuring procedural guarantees, maintaining a balance between the independence of the investigation and prosecutorial control, as well as adapting supervision to modern technological realities. It is concluded that effective prosecutorial supervision serves to prevent violations, improves the quality of investigative actions and strengthens public confidence in criminal justice, ensuring legality, objectivity and fairness in the investigation of crimes.
