Abstract

Today, digital technologies, penetrating all spheres of life, determine the importance and significance of the idea of ​​digital sovereignty. The study, within the framework of the article, is aimed at understanding the concept of digital sovereignty, its importance in modern society and the impact on the rights of citizens and data security. According to the authors, in conditions when the digital environment is becoming increasingly complex and multifaceted, it is important not only to be aware of the risks, but also to find effective solutions to minimize them.

The article examines the approaches to digital sovereignty of Russia, Europe and China, the identified difference made it possible to highlight the uniqueness of each of the models. It is concluded that the digital sovereignty of the state is an objective legal opportunity to control its information policy, technological infrastructure and the protection of citizens' data.
