PATHOPHYSIOLOGICAL CONNECTION OF VITAMIN D WITH ALLERGIC DISEASES IN CHILDREN

Abstract

Allergic diseases in children are a major public health problem worldwide. Their prevalence has increased significantly in recent years and currently affects 10 to 30% of the world's population. Vitamin D plays a critical role in regulating the immune system and may influence the onset and progression of diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis and asthma in children.

Reducing the burden of allergic diseases in children remains a major challenge. Therefore, further research is needed to clarify the exact role of vitamin D in the development of allergic diseases and how to effectively use vitamin D in the clinic to regulate immune responses and improve the treatment of allergic diseases.
