Abstract

This article examines the importance of sensorimotor coordination in the development of spatial perception in the early stages of ontogenesis. Modern domestic research on sensorimotor development is analyzed. The features of the leading mechanisms of sensorimotor – visual – motor and auditory –motor coordination are highlighted.

The characteristic formation of the leading sensory organs and limbs of a child's development from birth to school is determined. The conclusion is made about the importance of the causes of the child's difficulties, as well as for building adequate correctional work with schoolchildren who experience difficulties in mastering program material or have behavioral problems.
