ANALYSIS OF THYROID CANCER INCIDENCE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Thyroid cancer is one of the most common malignant neoplasms of the endocrine system. The incidence of which has been growing worldwide for several decades. Most often, this pathology affects women of reproductive age. Thyroid cancer is the second most common malignant neoplasm during pregnancy, second only to breast cancer.
Analysis of thyroid cancer incidence showed that there is a steady increase in its prevalence. The growth of this indicator is due to both an increase in incidence and detection. The indicator of active detection of thyroid cancer showed that the degree of prevalence of the tumor process at the time of detection was in stages I and II of the tumor process in 91.8% of cases.
In most cases, thyroid cancer has a favorable prognosis and can be effectively treated.
