SOME PROBLEMS OF PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PENITENTIARY INSPECTORATE

Abstract

this scientific article presents a description of some problematic aspects of prosecutorial supervision of the activities of penal enforcement inspections. The authors focus on certain technical shortcomings and a low level of interagency cooperation. The importance of involving civil society institutions in the implementation of oversight powers was noted. Despite the obvious shortcomings, the prosecutor's practice demonstrates the positive dynamics of timely suppression and prevention of violations of the law in this area.
