ANALYSIS OF PROSTATE CANCER INCIDENCE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men and the fifth leading cause of death worldwide.

Analysis of prostate cancer incidence in the Russian Federation has shown that there is a steady increase in its prevalence. The growth of this indicator is due to both an increase in incidence and detection, and an increase in the survival of cancer patients.

The degree of prevalence of the tumor process at the time of detection, in 65.2% of cases was in stages I and II of the tumor process.
