PROBLEMS OF PROSECUTORIAL SUPERVISION OF THE LEGALITY OF THE EXECUTION OF SENTENCES

Abstract

this article provides a description of certain problems of prosecutorial supervision in the field of execution of sentences. The study provided examples from prosecutorial practice illustrating the active implementation of supervisory powers in this area. The main problems identified were: incomplete fulfillment of requirements for the elimination of violations of the law by the administration of correctional institutions; the need to increase unscheduled inspections; low level of legal education of convicted persons. Promising areas for improving the prosecutor's supervision of the legality of the execution of sentences were also mentioned, namely, the introduction of information technology and close cooperation with representatives of the Institute of Public Control.
