FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE GENRE OF HISTORICAL OPERA IN THE MUSICAL THEATER OF CHINA

Abstract

This article explores the history and evolution of the historical opera genre in Chinese musical theater. It highlights the various stages of development of this genre, from its early forms in the early 20th century to contemporary interpretations. The article analyzes the influence of cultural and political changes on the genre, as well as the interaction between traditional Chinese art forms and Western operatic styles. Special attention is given to the influence of Russian musical tradition on Chinese opera.
