ANALYSIS OF TUBERCULOSIS INCIDENCE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
Tuberculosis is a major public health problem worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, tuberculosis is the 13th leading cause of death and is considered the deadliest infectious disease after AIDS, killing 1.5 million people annually. According to the Global Tuberculosis Report, about 10.6 million cases of tuberculosis were registered in 2021.
In the Russian Federation, in 2020-2022, there was a downward trend in overall morbidity and mortality, both among men and women.
