Abstract

Colon cancer is the most common malignant neoplasm of the abdominal cavity in women and men and is the third most common cause of cancer death worldwide. Its prevalence is gradually increasing and in addition, there is an increase in the number of patients under 50 years of age.

This pathology ranks fifth in prevalence in both sexes, in women it is in 5th place, and in men in 7th place.
