PECULIARITIES OF COLLECTION, VERIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF INFORMATION ON ELECTRONIC MEDIA IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

Abstract

The present article deals with the problems of collecting, verification and evaluation of information on electronic media in criminal proceedings. Different points of view of scientists-processualists concerning the issue of defining the concept of “electronic medium” are analyzed, on the basis of which the conclusion about the distinctive features of this category is made. With the help of legal analysis, the peculiarities of collecting information on electronic media in the course of investigative actions, as well as the rules of its verification and evaluation at the stage of proving a criminal case are determined.
